    Dear players,

    Here you can discuss, give feedback , ask questions on the new Gameforge Portal, soon to be tested and implemented

    Important: OGame is heading to the new Gameforge Portal soon and you can test it!

    List of things already metioned:
    Polishingwishes:
    • Create a way to sit one specific account, not the whole portal account
    • Multiple portal accs in one browser session (see point above to circumvent this problem)
    • Remove the need to scroll down to log in
    • Make it possible to deactivate the videobackground

    Bugs:
    • The portal language gets set back to serverlanguage when you log out ingame
    • Multiple things with the account creation overlay
    • Videos are in german altough page is set to english

    Positive things:
    • All accounts in one place
    • Finally more secure passwords possible

    Negative things (also see polishingwishes):
    • Stitting only possible for the whole portal acc
    • Annoying backgroundvideo
    • Takes long to get to the gameloginbutton

  • Do I have to create a new Gameforge Account for Origin.
    Or will that server merge to my Gameforge Account for all my german Accounts

    But if I have to create a new Account, I have a problem: I use the same mailadress for the german Gameforge Account as for the Origin Account.

    Please help: how can I login in the game...

    maybe tell us how long origin will be closed. another day or the whole week or is it open already and you can login only with an gameforge account.

    I have read the faq, but there isn't an explicite example for my case - that's why I asked.

    I'ts only written that when you have an active gameforge account - all games will be connected
    but is that a fact for all games worldwide or only regional (for my taste is "all games" too vague)

  • Is there any technical reason for gameforge.com to require only alphanumeric characters in passwords? If you're properly handling the passwords it shouldn't matter what characters are used (as long as they fit the minimum number of characters and possibly any checks for ultraweak passwords of course).

    Just migrate then your origin account, when it is available.

    At the portal you can add e-mail adresses and you also can merge 2 portal accounts together into 1. Also the Sync if e-mail adresses should work. So if you have currently a old portal account with the same e-mail adress, then it should be no problem to have it later then all in one portal account.

    is there a difference between a Gameforge account and this new portal ????


    i have a Gameforge account and i can log in there to all my server accs over this portal
    BUT only the .de accounts are listed


    where is this "portal" for origin and Bermuda ?????????????


    by the way are those accounts now in Vmode ?
    just in case if it takes longer to find a way to log in again into those two servers
    it would be nice if those accs were then still in good shape

    thank you very much for your answer - then I will wait and hoe that the origin will appear soon in my gaeforge account ^^

  • One thing I am missing in the FAQ (or did I oversee it?)

    Assume I have two Portal Accounts for my two games (or 2 OGame unis) using separate Email addresses. Can I play both games at the same time? Or will the cookies not be compatible, so that I can not log in on the portal multiple times in the same browser?

    Nothing changed on OGame side. One Account per Browser on one server

    The old portal will still stay, this is the pts relase, only for the pioneers servers, not the live launch ...
