    • Rolling minimum time in vacation mode

      Basically the idea is that if you go into vacation mode repeatedly, you have to spend more time in vmode each time. This would act as some deterrent against vmode fleetsaving while not preventing people from going in when they need to, or overly punishing the 'normal' users to catch the so-called abusers.

      My idea with that is, if you go into vmode within 24 hours of coming out, your minimum time in increases by 24 hours, and it stacks. So minimum time would work like 24h, 48h, 72h, 96h... (using speed unis since that seems to be where the grumbling is). To reset your min time, you have to spend time out of vmode. I was thinking the reverse, 24 hours out, 24 hours time off (down to the normal minimum of course).

      Numbers are of course subject to change. Users at .org seemed to like a 48 hour penalty. And maybe there could be a maximum penalty, but I think not.

    • The Dutch community is discussing this matter too after a suggestion to alter the v-mode. The link to this idea has just been posted today, but the summary of the suggestion to alter v-mode is:
      Most players see the positive effects and would like something like this
      The abbusing (so to say) players ofcourse see there tactics being destroyd and blame the game for the option being there, just like moving planets or build huge defence and become a turtle to rule youself out as a target.

      I hope to see some responce to this idea in particular and I'll get back on the matter.
    • A suggestion to penalize people for using FS tactic which completely stops mining?.. :wacko: I'd understand the wish to address that in speed unis, though for regular ones, it's just an ordinary saving strategy which penalizes itself, by the mentioned halt of production.

      To say it short, it doesn't gain my vote (at least, in the current form).

      Pero este tipo de penalización solo consigue que el jugador esté más tiempo en modo vacaciones y menos tiempo jugando. Sería más sencillo de implementar un tiempo mínimo de 48 horas jugando después de un tiempo de vacaciones, por ejemplo.

      En cualquier caso, es una gran idea hacer algo al respecto...
