      Hi OGame community,

      There are many choices of fleet and defensive structures these days, however I do not have the feeling that the player has control over what he will build to fight against. In other words, a better focus to fight certain defenses like rocket launchers or plasma's or a certain defense to focus more on heavy fighters or destroyers instead. A new research, rocket technology should be implemented to do so.

      How can we realise such thing?
      Each fleet and defense option has a certain points to fill. Each point will stand for x%.

      An example of fleet:
      • Light fighter has 5 fields
      • Heavy fighter has 10 fields and so on.
      With those fields you can do the following:
      Light fighter can be +5 weapon or +5 shield or even mixed like +3 weapon and +2 shield. Within the weapon you can choose between rocket, laser, ion and plasma that should be used as weapon. Laser will deal more damage against rocket launcher or some other defense, no matter. With the shield you can choose where this light fighter should have reduction of damage received against: rocket, laser, ion or plasma.

      With defenses, this is kind a similar situation. Example:
      • Rocket launcher has 5 fields
      • Light laser has 10 fields and so on.
      Rocket launcher can have +5 weapon or +5 shield or even mixed like +2 weapon and +3 shield. Within the weapon you can choose to what kind of weapon of fleet it should be strong against and with shield you can choose to have reduction of damage done by this weapon. You can choose for example laser as weapon but also as shield, so it will deal more damage against laser fleet and take less damage from laser fleet. In this order, each rocket launcher will deal 2% more damage and receive 3% less damage.

      Since a shield cannot have a weapon, it can have +15 for small shield dome and +30 for large shield dome where a selection can be made out of the same researches as the others. However a small shield will reduce 15% of damages done for example by ion weapons, if the attacker uses these.

      The attacker can also mix up weapons like light fighters with +5 lasers and heavy fighters with +10 rockets.

      New boosters
      With this idea, it allows GameForge to implement new boosters to double or tripple the amount of % for a week in price of dark matter. Then it also becomes a little more interesting for GameForge and for the players.

      Renaming some defense structures
      Because we are able to make a selection of rocket, laser, ion and plasma, it might be needed to rename light laser, heavy laser, ion cannon and plasma turret.

      Remove anti-ballistic and interplanitaire rockets:
      There is no need anymore for these rockets based on the researches and the controls you will have on fleet and defenses. Instead we can make up kind of a deathstar but in defensive way, like a RIP-cannon or whatever. This defensive structure might also cost a lot of resources but has high amount of fields and is even stronger compared to the plasma.

      End of the story
      No matter if you are a fleeter, turtle or miner. With a good setup, strategy and tactic of your researches and fleet and/or defensive structure, you can always win and chances stay equal for all parties.

    • Think the worth of Rapidfire is for this say practice.

      And loss of Missiles not sure if say worth it otherwise, essentially given, Fleet on Fleet actions can't be done without Planets/Moons. And even though this is a numbers games, probably only so many really can take the difference of a Planet for worth of just Fleet Movements.

      But I do like the idea of this for its' interest of coverage, just the worth of covering as always to me would seem best based on new Units and Buildings additionally. Leaving say the prior base for Power Shifts on the distributive that otherwise would be to costly to sustain for the same of newer things to say.
