Are we not missing a CR thread forum, or am I being incredibly ditzy? I'm assuming with 10K players, by now there will have been more than a few nice booms, even with x1? Why is the forum locked?

Can I ask why Shole?
In speed unis, I get that CR sections arent worth much, but this is x1. It will be a while before hofs are common, and right now, the lack of battles posted makes the uni seem artificially silent and boring. I've seen DF big enough to know that there is plenty life out there, but I'm missing the stories that go with it.
I remember the first % as being as big a deal as the first hof in x1, and the first alliances biting and clawing their way to the top in an active universe is about as fun as any late-stage war can ever get.

Guys have point. There was always CR section (apart from HoF section) usable especially in early stage of game + later to newer players who aren't able to do 20% yet, but still have fun with crashes within own ability.
Is there any special reason why there isn't any despite of fact that players want it?
Because as I see things it's only positive to make forum more alive, to visit it more often, to post more often, to see what others are doing in this stage of game, etc...ex #1st ranked uni14 .org

But if we had an oficial CR forum that would be great, mainly because many people do not know ogmem. -
It's also silly not to use available official resources to build nice community and instead of this re-direct people to some random 3rd party cr website.ex #1st ranked uni14 .org

It's a third party site ( link is ogmem.com/cr/archive ) , where people can upload their CRs, but it doesn't appear to be searchable and is without comment. Definitely better than nothing, but not a permanent solution for this big a universe, IMO.

It isn't searchable thats correct. But comments can be written, when the CR-Uploader enables them, but he can also disable them. You got Top 20 charts for most Units destroyed and highest win, also there is the linked archive which displays all public CR's that have benn uploaded for that Uni publicly. You can decide if you want the CR to be visible to the public or just want it for you and the people you send the link to.
To the not permanent solution thing: For ogame.de in total there where 55k CR's since v6 release (followups that are directly in the CR not counted). In Germany the boards don't get used for CR's we just use ogmem. Example for a CR: ogmem.com/show/52308

What's the reasoning behind not to give players what they want and what's standard in other communities and insted of this redirect people to some random 3rd party website?
As someone said above, we have now locked Batttles section. And locked HoF section? To me it seems like someone from board staff have no idea what's purpose of Battles section...

I think they locked it because of avoiding spam with little combats. I poked the responsible persons for a solution, just because I also think it´s a mess for not beeing able to post great combats from the retro server here on board
