Activity on planets

Sorry but I have some doubts about the activities on players.
What can cause the (*) and what don't cause the activity?

For example, refreshing in overview will cause an activity on my planet?

I think that at this version you can "hide" on a moon, so I am almost sure that overview on the moon = no activity
