The update to FF 43 will automatically shut down unsigned Add-ons like AGO. There is a work-around, but only in this version. From FF 44 on, no unsigned Add-ons will work.
Will AGO apply for a FF signature? Or has this been done already?
The work-around:
You will not get support from Mozilla, if you disable the above signature check. Maybe you want to disable automatic FF updates and choose ask-before-installing, too, for the time being. All in all, not a pretty solution.
Maybe you want to switch to Chrome instead.

The work-around:
- Open new FF tab
- enter in address bar: about:config
- click on "I'll be careful, I promise!"
- browse to (or search): xpinstall.signatures.required
- double click to change preference from "true" to "false"
- Start Add-ons-Manager by clicking on "Add-ons" in the Firefox Tab
- Check whether AGO is activated or deactivated
- Activate AGO when necessary
