I think it's a great idea.

Just a few things:

Let's say I'm constantly starting/cancelling combustion drive research, to protect my resources.
Suddenly, two players return from the long-term VM, and decide to help me. I wake up one morning, and find out that my research is finished and my resources are gone.
Maybe we should also introduce some kind of invitation for help (similar to acs request)?


Also, could we clarify how exactly this works?

I mean, research center level determines how long certain research is going to take, not how fast the time ticks.

Let's say I want to research armor technology level 20.
Cost: 524.288.000

My research center is at level 104 (8*13). Therefore, production duration is 208 days: 524.288.000/(8*13+1)/1000/24 .

I activate technocrat for 7 days. Now the research time is 156 days: 208*75% .
I start the research.
10 days later, the technocrat is out, and I have 146 days left to finish the research.
Halve/complete option says that I can reduce the research time by 78 days.

Now someone with research center level 96 (8*12) decides to help me.
What happens?

A) Time remaining to complete the research is now 108 days?
524.288.000/(8*13+8*12+1)/1000/24

B) Time remaining to complete the research is now 98 days?
524.288.000/(8*13+8*12+1)/1000/24 - 10 days that elapsed

C) Time remaining to complete the research is now 71 day?
(524.288.00/(8*13+8*12+1)/1000/24)*75% - 10 days that elapsed

C sounds correct, but note that the technocrat's effect is calculated as if the research was started with research center level 200, which wasn't the case.
What does the halve/complete option say now?

10 more days pass, and the player who helped has to go in VM. What happens now?

You can do that the laboratoires of other players decrees less time that if they were yours.

Without this sugg. this problem existist, 2 or 3 counts give sources to another one. Solution: ban xD Sugg: get a better sistem of punishment or detection.

Accounts that just give res are not legal.

In order to put a limit of people who can connect his laboratories. We have some opcions like:


1º

Make that 1 player could connect his laboratories per 1/2/3...x.. levels of our Intergalactic Research Network.

2º

We have no limits of players who connect his laboratories but the algorithm of reduction is something like that:



Y like this case because make people to think the number of conexions that are feasible.

I loved the idea, just brilliant!
I think this would give a cheer more for alliances.

I have just started one technology <--- Time per finish 12months !!!!! ROLF!!!

We need something like this suggestion or similar. Preferentially this one

And.....maybe we could join the Intergalactic Research Network with players of our friend list part form our own alliance players?
