My plan is to implement an API in Python which can be used as backend to feed data into multiple tools, for example a production calculator, a mobile web interface or anything else. Inspiration is trapy, there you can see in what direction it should go.

Is there a more detailed specification than the lists in "Forever forbidden things" and "List of allowed things in tools" about what is really allowed? Can I expect that it is OK if the API has the same (or limited) functionality than the allowed Android app (andr-o-game)?

everything done with the api is allowed until now... i dont expect that this would be otherwise for your idea.

I'm not talking about an interface to the existing API. I mean a game API with the same functionality than the Android App (listing resources, start building, ...).

Sure it is allowed.
Only to be sure, you know about all features of the Galaxytool ? And Antigame Origin has an included browser database (currently only to show coordinates, with Ogame 5.0 showing all details)

BTW, writing a backend for the official API would be a matter of a few minutes. I don't understand why everyone is focused on that
