Many people will atleast occasionally be in a situation, where they can't login to the game every 24h. I know there is a partial solution to the problem (commander), but not everybody can afford to use it.
Thus I propose on behalf of the finnish community that the messages would stay for 48h before deletion if commander is not activated.
This should not be a big deal for the servers, nor does it make using commander any less desirable.

48 h is not enough, indeed. 7 days is much better.
Quite surprisingly, the Commander allows messages to stay for 7 days

If you want to have the Commander, there are many ways of earning DM without paying...

if this is implemented, 3 days would be nice and enough, otherwise, you should do the same to commander but on a much more extended period to keep the feature good for commanders
for none commander: new login+1hour for 3 days
for commander: new login + ( more than 1 hour ) for 2 weeks maybe

just to adjust commander accordingly to the changes to keep it interesting to get commander and to keep it effective to get commander

If you adjust commander accordingly then 2 weeks would be nice, however I think the "new login + 1 hour" is still enough

yeah, login+1 hour would be enough i guess
but still commander should be adjusted accordingly so it wont lose its value in my opinion
