At the start of the universe many players (including myself) wrote tickets about the loss of the fleet (spy probes, to be precise). They were answered by "your fleet is not our problems" although it made the same disbalance as the current bug, appeared right now. It looks like these problems have similar causes, or atleast very close ones. Why did bug-fix activities starts only now, and not earlier, with the first reports from the players (months ago)?

The imbalance caused by this bug is completely different. We knew that the server was at low support. Most of us have been affected by some bugs.

But you can't compare the loss of some probes to a bug that allow a player to build up to 1M points in a few hours, making the server definitely unplayable.
Anyways, i try to ask here too. I was under attack when the server went down, but i didn't FS yet. What should i expect when (if) we'll be able to login again? Should i open a ticket for this?#6 Retro server - Fra [N O X]

I would wait until they decided what to do. E.g. if they use a backup than everything is fine for you.

When staff will have more info, they will write. Probably is need action of a developer to edit code, but in week end normally don't work ; so we have to wait when a developer will have time to work around retro server (maybe monday is busy with normal Ogame)

Most of GF employees don't work on weekends, so we will have to wait till Monday for something to happen

I don't care when the game is back on. I do care about the conditions in which the accounts will be when it does.
Can we expect all accounts to be on vacation mode once the game goes back on, or do we have to keep frenetically checking the server status? Is anyone considering the possibility that some people may go on vacation at some point between now and the time the server is back on and may not be able to set the account on vacation mode? What do you intend to do about that? If you give players some assurances on that regard I'm sure all will be fine. Until you do, players will keep on constantly checking these forums for an answer and giving you more work and grilling you with questions than you otherwise would have. -
I understand problems of anybody (i play in this uni too) , and for sure if possible a block of attack or a vacation mode could help.
But you have to remember always that this is a special universe on an old version of ogame that it is not completely supported . For example was need to edit some part of code to make work in a modern server for software compatible ........ so probably atm nobody know :
1) if exist a periodic backup as is in normal universe
2) if it is possible to active block attack or set in vacation all account (maybe need to edit something or test).
And one important thing is that we have to wait a developer that find way to fix bug; maybe it request 2 hours, maybe request 2 weeks

They clearly said that they can't answer to your questions until monday, when MAYBE some developers will work at this.
So until monday the server will be close and further questions won't get a reply, simply because we (and the staff who is replying here to our questions) can't expect that people will work at home for us.#6 Retro server - Fra [N O X]
