I see more and more friends who use the phone to play and spend few minutes during the pauses, both at home, school, on trains or buses. An official app to play ogame could make it easier manage the account and entice new players to join it.

Well I believe that well written app, could increase number of ogame players. This is because now days there are people that are more likely to check for games in store than google for 'space game' or similar, and end up on OGame website. I believe that this idea would be beneficial for GF as also allowing easiers way to buy Dark Matter, through phone and phone application, would increase the possibility of players actually buying paid functions. However such app needs to be easy to use since mobile players wont actually play in game that is hard to use. It would require definitely more modified interface than already the games 'Mobile View' which I dont even use on mobile devices, as I found it harder to use than normal interface, even on mobile device.

Sadly , months ago GameForge comunicated that it decided to leave the mobile gaming industry.
Long time ago was started creation of an android app (already exist a ios app), and publicated image of it in official facebook page of ogame near summer 2015.
So i think will be hard to have finally an app.
