I'm making a new feature for UniverseView, just need to know if it's allowed before a can publish it!
Chrome, Opera & Firefox extensions allow desktop notifications.

The feature would register your fleet arrivals from the event list and schedule notifications.
About 60 seconds before the mission arrives a notification will notify the user that a fleet will be landing shortly. (The number of seconds is just an example, could be less, more or even user definable)
The registration of an event (aka. mission arrival) will only happen when the event list get reloaded by the user himself, for instance on a page refresh. (So nothing automated)
This means that the user should already have seen the events, the registration is only a reminder for the user to let him know to check his missions.

Any suggestions are also welcome

I already tested it and it works
Can this feature be tolerated?

It only registers arrival time of missions to and from a player his planet.
So only the events that he can see ingame will be registered, which seems pretty legit to me.

That I don't know.
I would need to test it.

But it's possible that when you keep chrome open you'll still receive the notifications as the background thread is used to register the events.
This because the background thread runs independent from the actual browser tabs, including those from OGame.
