shouldnt their planets normally get tagged to be destroyed then? at least thats how i thought it works - if not that would explain it - kind of still sucks though

has anyone else noticed planets getting instantly deleted? it has happened to me 4 times since yesterday: with new inactives coming at midnight i sent to one of them and before my ships ever hit the planet it was suddenly gone - my returning ships don't take a fleet slot and don't show under fleet or overview. Somehow they still return (i think) and i get a msg telling me that the ships returned from planet X - just that those planets don't exist anymore. They weren't marked as destroyed before …
