Indeed the time should be less. No to low and not to high. I'd say something between 5 minutes & 30 minutes. To low would allow a much better quess & to small window. Also because with the marker I'd be possible to check for 2 times. First the time when the marker appears & second the time when the marker disappears

Hi all, Back in the good days it was not possible to send a colonization mission without having a sufficient astrophysics level. Now almost all players use this kind of mission to save their fleet instead of a recycle mission for example. This possibility has made it very difficult or even impossible (without destroying the moon) to time the saved fleet. I'd suggest using plain Javascript for searching the API XML's. Using jQuery to do this is a very heavy operation. When developing UniverseView I did some tests parsing the universe.xml file. These where the results for a loop over 47.500 records: jQuery => ~400-500ms Plain Javascript => ~70-90ms Also the loading time will depend on the internet connection of the user. How larger the universe, how longer It'd take to download the XML's.

No you didn't do anything wrong That's normal and I think OGame won't change that. When requesting certain files from other domains via XHR they'll return this CROS origin error. Some sort of safety issue. You should be able to solve this by using a proxy page on your website, haven't tried it but it could work. Example: You request a PHP script on your site which gets the OGame API via cURL and returns that data.

PostIndeed nice idea, I'm not fan of the penalty. This would have a negative effect on the players on the losing side. On the other hand, the winners should get something, perhaps some items, ... This would have a positive effect and would encourage players/alliances to fight wars. One other remark, couldn't find the rules but. Isn't it possible for a single player to declare a war to an alliance or other player. How would the game handle that?
