I also like this, it's definitely a good idea. Better to write 48 to select bronze krakens than need to click 48 times on a popup confirmation.

  • Relocation of Planets

As a "profit" stunt, you could make an event (like all of those that we already have, for instance “25% less time in buildings and shipyard queue”, etc.*) once in a while, that also includes positions 3 and 13 to be relocated (leaving 3-13 available as a whole). That would ensure many many people would relocate to position 13 on those events. And after a while, i.e., after reaching a milestone for instance, an "special" event which would let you move to position 14, etc. But you would need to li…

But the problem with just one ranking and all resources combined is that the “conversion rate” is fixed. May be it's more practical to have three rankings? One for metal, one for crystal, and one for deuterium. Then there could be a external script that could combine that in any chosen ratio by the user. I believe this would be better. But yes, anything that officially compares the mine production would be welcome. EDIT: there's no point in having a sum production (i.e., raw sum of all three res…

  • I didn't even got the debris and somehow I had 15M dark matter. I believe the last time they added dark matter it just added the amount to the current of the account. Now they've reset everything to 10M, it seems. Although it's a lot DM, sometimes to test fast if you need to buy resources you spend easily the 10M dark matter. So I think it would be better the same as last time, everytime you give DM it could be added to the current amount. That way with 20M DM it's easier to build more things fa…

  • I'm sorry @Kellogen but I'm unable to understand any of your posts, I can kind of imagine what you are trying to say, but there's no way I can follow your writing. Sorry. In any case, as you mention it. The traditional explanation was that the deuterium is consumed when the fleet is “launched”, so if you are going from planet A to planet B, you are not consuming along the travel, but just the impulse at the first moment. And the same if you cancel, you then impulse the fleet backwards, and you s…

  • Reduce ACS Defending cost

@Lord_ I don't know if it's “easier” than attacking. I don't mean to make it free, just that the amount is more bearable. In any case, completely related, if one launches a ACS defend for, say 1h, it consumes the deuterium of the travel plus the idling, IF one cancels before the fleet arrives to its destiny, the idling deuterium is not consumed and should be given back to the player. The idea is that if it costs me 40M deuterium to move my fleet to defend a friend in my system, I don't want it t…

  • Here's another suggestion: reduce the cost of idling while ACS defending a player. It's a bit annoying that moving ships from a planet to the moon, or to the debris fields cost just a bit of resources, and idling the ships on another planet costs much much more. While they need to consume deuterium, since they are somehow “orbiting” around a planet and ready for battle, the current amount is just immense. I know (unless I'm mistaken) they currently consume a tenth of the base consumption of a sh…

  • @JoKy I meant simple as in “no change in the gameplay”. Also benefitting something in my opinion. I mean, I would like to see if an account is responsible for the loss of more than 2000 rips trying to pop moons. While it's not an active destruction, it's definitely something that could count towards their destroyed points since they are the cause of that loss. But, okey, if it's an active decision from years ago, I guess that's what it is @NoMoreAngel You have a point, that's true. In any case, …

  • Up I believe it's a simple change that does no harm an represents better the amount of fleet lost by other players trying to hit an account.

  • My particular comments about merges are oriented towards a cleaning of the universe to have more room for newcomers. I imagine GameForge saying that it's not possible to merge into an universe where there's little to zero free positions in G1-G4. So what I'm saying is that sometimes it would be welcome (and good for the game) to have such universes as destiny, which would need some cleaning before the merge takes place. My intent, saying this in advance, is to open this debate so that GameForge …

  • @ErikFyr But my point is that not only "where" but in a way "how". Example: if you have 3 universes x4 eco x4 mines 30% debris x4 eco x4 mines 30% debris x5 eco x5 mines 50% debris I would like to be moved to the first universe but with x5 eco x5 mines 50% debris. The discussion should be not just "which destiny" but also take in account that even if you want a merger with certain characteristics, it could at the same time choose which universe is destiny and then the config is applied to that u…

  • With no public plans or future mergers in sight, I wanted to open a thread to say things in advance. Nothing particular, if someone want to add their opinion on mergers, it's welcome. I think that the admins of each community should open a discussion forum in advance to see what are the opinions of the user base. Nothing conclusive, but just to give a way out to many thoughts that many users have been collecting over the years. It's a win-win, in my opinion, since sometimes useful thoughts may b…

@Kaldor Could you detail a little bit what you had in mind with the “pulse” you suggested? I don't play any other game, so I don't know how the problem of “saving” is approached in other online games like OGame. At first I thought that making a safe sleep would be something unimaginable but now I'm not seeing it as horrible as I saw it before. You could expand how that would work to see if we can throw some ideas to the pot. Here's another, with that same intention: to add more ideas. Related, b…

  • Personally I would be interested in the top rank 100. But in general, I don't think anyone is interested in seeing if they are rank 128.322, so you could cut after certain point. Just as an example, 374.000 players, if you did only the top 40.000 rankings, you can do the 9 different categories and it's the same data to calculate. But, to be honest, I don't think it's relevant more than, say, rank 1.000 or 10.000. And if you cut that tail, and reduce to, say, only 10.000, you can even add the All…

  • @RiV- Since v1? I don't know if always, but as you say it might've been like that for quite some time. I did never look at the detailed costs

  • @NoMoreAngel Yes, the costs have changed. The geometric rate was 1.75, now there's a bit of weird rounding. Just as an example: Level 2 of astrophysics costs 7.000 Metal 14.000 Crystal 7.000 Deuterium (which is 1.75 times the cost of Astro 1). Level 3 costs 12.300 Metal 24.500 Crystal 12.300 Deuterium, while it should cost 12.250 (which is what AGO shows). By the way, even 24.500 / 12.300 ≠ 2 which is the traditional relation between crystal and metal/deuterium. So: YES, prices have changed, the…

  • Could you add the global rankings not only of points, but also of economy, research, militar, destroyed, lost, honour, etc.?

  • I agree with @Lord_ that if we are to change this we should be like treading on eggshells, it's not an easy task. In any case, to add some more spice to the pot, we can have something in mind: there was a reason for battlecruisers. Originally, battlecruisers were introduced to make merchants more common. By giving a majestic ship to the players, which needed more crystal than it was ever possible to acquire, GameForge made a publicity stunt to favour the merchant (it was introduced at those time…

  • Since the introduction of decent sizes in positions 1 2 3 13 14 15, it's possible to colonize there. But in position 15 one can get 1 or 2 energy units per solar satellite. May be make energy technology also improve those numbers? Right now, I do survive with fusion plants alone in position 15, but I think improving the effectiveness of solar satellites with this technology wouldn't do any harm to anyone.

Quote from NoMoreAngel: “I don't know where you are from, but the change for to bashrule is atleast 4 years old. As far as I can oversee the playerbase, most players want to be RIPs less powerfull at moonrips, because later in the game moonrips are too easy. Just take a look at this thread: Bring back the power of moons ” This doesn't necessarily collide with that thread. The important part there is that it's unbearable for most of the players to maintain a rhythm of connecting around every hour…
