=Moon size and fields= Firstly, there is no field limit on a moon. Moon sizes are not completely random. They are indeed affected by the percentage. The higher the percentage, the higher the chances are of getting a big moon. It's possible to get a 4k moon on 19% or an 8k moon on 1%, but it's very very unlikely. The first step to colonise a new planet is to get a colony ship. To see what you need to build it, click the colony ship (located in the shipyard), and then the techtree button.
