You played Ascending? I yes. The players who had come for the competition left from its close, they didn't pay for the universe. And what I read, this tendency is the same in the other communities.

And there were more than two universes events on the .fr

But, I didn't see a universes short and we small price.. we will see on the contest !

I have had an account in U670 (Origin) for a long time. I'm currently ranked #15 for 'Points' and I'm still building.

What will happen to my account when the tournament begins? Will it be deleted?

And if I choose to enter the contest, will I lose my current account or can I register for another account just for the contest?

Current accounts won't be deleted.

If you want to play the contest, you have to register a new account. Obviously you won't be banned as Multi-Account, but you won't be able to send resources from your high-rank account to the contest account.

I knew there could be no interaction between accounts and I would be willing to vmode my original account for the duration of the contest. I was mostly concerned about the server starting from scratch (reset - deletion of all old accounts) and/or what a player with an existing account would have to do if they wanted to play in the tournament.

I'm satisfied with your answer. Thanks for the quick response.

It would be nice to get some further Informations to the Gameplay, like what do you have to do to earn points?
Because it feels like there are like 10 registered players when you look through the highscore list, and you have no chance to attack someone because there are just players in vacation mode or the ones with million of points in your system, kinda strange.
The only thing you can do right now is to click mines and that is not a very interesting contest when you don´t have any challenges in sight with other players...

What S034 said about points and how that works. Also, a list of the players in the contest would be nice, so we know how big the competition is.

Could you explain a bit more in detail the points? Like, how expeditions and hits work (what the numbers mean), and if the research and mines are meant to be per multitude, so if a mine is level 10 it's worth 2 points, and if someone gets a level 16 research it's also worth 2 points.

Sure..

Researches
Every time you reach 8 levels, you will get 1 point. Further on, all below 8 levels will be 0 point. 8 levels is 1 point, 16 levels are 2 points and so on. So 1 point on every 8th level.

Mines
Every time you reach 5 levels, you will get 1 point. That means that 5 levels are 1 point, 10 levels are 2 points and so on. Mines will be calculated together (metal, crystal, deuterium. So, 3 levels of metal, 1 level of crystal and 1 level of deuterium is 5 levels which is 1 point.

Expeditions
Calculated daily. 1-4 missions in period of 24h is 1 point. 5-9 missions are 2 points. 10+ missions are 3 points. So obviously, you 'can' do 10 missions per day for maximum points.

20% Hits
All 20% chances. Level is just 'subject of reward'.
1 hit is 1 point, 3 hits are 5 points and so on.. Further on, Top 3 hits in whole round will get additional points (at the end of contest).
Top hits should be reported I believe. It will be easy to possibly miss something because we have a lot to calculate.

Are the resources which are awarded for round three based on place (1st place gets a set amount as does 2nd, 3rd, and so forth) or based on a person's score (xxx amount of resources for every point)?

Is there a building time for ships or are they "bought" like researches?

Will there be updates on the scores?
