Hi all.
First of all, I think it's great to have such a Test-Server for the community at all
But there are two small issues in the organisation I'd like to bring:
1. The issue colleting thread
I'm on the test server for two weeks now, but still havn't read trough all of the (old) threads in the forum, and I don't plan to.
As soon as I find something I try to find the issue in the forum using the search, but I'm not always sure I really find the correct threads so it takes a lot of time to find them.
Personally I'd like to have links to the corresponding threads in the collecting post, so I could verify the issue I have is really the one already reported, so I could add any additional findings to that thread, where it is discussed already.
Even if I think the issue is the one on the list, I can take the line in the collection thred, put it in the search, but it might not show me any results.
I had this situation with one "general" issue about message counts and paging. I had to search multiple times to actually find the correct thread, where my issue was already reported.
In general I think if you wanted to get feedback from most of the users, it's important the give them the easiest access possible to find anything that might be there issue. If possible without having to phrase the correct search term, espesially as we are a multilingual community, so the same question could be phrased pretty different and bring up different results.
2. Account deletion
It seems to me that inactive accounts get deleted after a much shorter period of time than in normal universes. Which I think is generally a good idea. But it should be communicated somewhere (or I have not found it).
And if it is set to 10 days (example), then is it set to the same time for accounts in vacation mode?
