    • The rise of the Battleship?

So I was talking with a friend about the old days when you saw the pride of the Battleship being the back bone But since the introduction of the Battlecruiser we saw them become a joke. Its a by far cheaper ship that hits harder then the newer ship. However the Battlecruisers rapid fire on the Battleship makes players not want to invest into the ship anymore.

      Battleship
      Structural Integrity 60.000
      Shield Strength 200
      Attack Strength 1.000
      Speed 10.000
      Cargo Capacity 1.500 units
      Fuel usage (Deuterium) 500

over killed and under powered by

      Structural Integrity 70.000
      Shield Strength 400
      Attack Strength 700
      Speed 10.000
      Cargo Capacity 750 units
      Fuel usage (Deuterium) 250

      with the aid of

      Rapidfire against Battleship: 7

This killed off a ship that could handle turtles and other fleets with ease. In hopes to restore the glory of the Battleship I would move to have the rapid fire of the Battlecruiser nerfed or removed. It dont make the Battlecruiser useless but makes the Battleship use able again. The Battlecruiser would still have rapid fire on all the ships is does now making them great foddler killer including cruisers. That fleeters still use today even in spite of the rapidfire all the others ships including this one has on them.

Only reason I bring this up is its really is just the rapid fire keeping people from using the battleship, even though its a more affordable more powerful unit.
    • I agree that the battleship is now a useless ship in late game. However, I think completely removing the rapid fire might be a bit over the top.

How about lower the battlecruiser's rapidfire against the battleship to 2?
    • Considering that it takes 3 of those 7 hits to even get a chance to blow up a battleship for a ship that costs 68.18...% of the resources if you consider 2x crystal it's not that big of a deal. I get the feeling that is more in peoples minds. Loosing a battleship is like loosing a fighter. It's the lowest ratio min/crystal ship in the game... Nothing is cheaper technically.

      Example:

      BC: 40x2=80+30= 110K
      BS: 15x2=30+45= 75K
      75/110= 68.18...%

That is 31.81...% more. So that means it's like it has 4.772...RF. That comes out to 55.68% of a BS hull. That is only 1-2 BS if it is lucky resource wise.

110/75=1.466...x1000=1466.6...-400=1066.666...x6=6400/7000= 91.428571% of the BC hull.

Technically the BS is quite a bit ahead from that analysis.

3x crystal is: (This is probably the intended cost to view it at)

      BS: 15x3=45+45= 90K
      BC: 40x3=120+30= 150K
      90/150= .6 or 60%

      BC: 7x.6= 4.2x700= 2940/6000= .49 or 49%
      BS: 150/90=1.66..%x1000=1666.66-400=1266.66x6=7600/7000= 1.0857142... or 108+4/7th%.
      BS: 150/90=1.66..%x1000=1666.66x6=9999.99.../7000= 1.42857142... or 142+6/7th%.

That is a pretty good lead for the BS. If you don't consider shields the BS is 3x more powerful per cost than the BC.
