Improving Shipyard while producing units

      Because, if he will attacks me while i'm afk, it's my fault. But if i'm by the pc and i can't use the option to save my resources, that is stupid and illogical in many ways.
      Just the fact, that i'm able to stop research and buildings, but not able to do it in the shipyard is illogical. This game was build on nonrealistic rules, and anyone is even supporting that, just because of game balance, which should be solved at beginning with all this i propose :D

      and yes if you leave your resources on a planet without transporters than it is your fault!
      you could've enough cargos left on that planet/moon and/or build enough transporters.

      thats more than enough influence you have not to get attacked!


      ps: if you leave your 500 grand car opened in the bronx it is fuckin your fault too
    • first i only support the option of the cancellation or stopping of the production in only the case where the queue that is being ordered is finished
      you can queue at many times, like 100 rockets at a time, well, when 1 of the current queues are being built, the production cant be stopped or canceled.

      i support the idea of stopping the production to enable vacation mode but nothing else.
      when the queue in yellow is still active, you cant stop the production until the queue in circled in yellow is done then you can ask for stopping the production and vacation mode.

      thats maximum what i can agree with, other than that it is not fair.
    • Sorry didnt read whole discussion, but i assume it was mostly against this idea?
      I kinda like this idea, cause it will just help avoid those annoying situation when i have queue for hundreds days, which u/or previous owner did accidenty. Improving only shipyard(without nanites) won't that much increase number of "turtles".

      About your argument please see this > For any case, you must to go away (Afk) and after you get back, all your ships are gone. But the resources are still there, attacker is flying with multi wave attack. Next waves contains transports, so you will lose even the resources for sure. You have just a little time for they arrive. You will build the shipyard on lvl 1 and put there what you can, so the attacker will get now the minimum...
      Between those lost ships was transporters too.

      SirEdward, I don’t know if you have ever played as a raider ? In many cases, the 2nd to the 6th waves of an attack are an absolute necessity in terms of profitability. You obviously don’t realize that your proposal will have an important impact on the way of playing “offensive”, which is the core of the game, as Kamil explained you above. It is common to attack someone who is connected, sometimes thanks to a well-elaborated strategy , other times because the defender made a mistake… If the defender didn’t plan back-up transporters on a planet, on another moon, or another other defensive strategy, you can’t blame the raider… That’s the problem of your proposal, you are going to penalize the raiders by being able to hide or make your resources disappear, because your defensive strategy is deficient in regards of the current game’s mechanisms…
      We are discussing one of the oldest balance of the game here :)

      why do you want to fix problems on their leafs? you should fix the root of the problem AND THAT IS you not saving when you go offline! and that is still your problem und you have to live with the consequences.
      take your colonyship or recycler and send your ships somewhere. thats not difficult.

      i start to believe that you dont know how the game works more and more like one of the last posters obviously thinks too.

      you can't take everything away from the user. if we'd apply all your ideas than there'd be nothing left to do. the game would be even more boring than it is now!
    • NusaDua: The primary point is, that you can stop research, even stop a building process, but not a shipyard. This is game bug from the beginning.
      For your strategy argument, this is unrelated to this idea/proposal. I know those "strategies". As i wrote before, there is always a risk you will go home without a loot. Remember that.
      If you want to be sure, you can do week or month observation of your enemy, so you can learn his/hers moves and habits and then attack. The strategy seek and destroy are always a 50/50 win, maybe less...
      I'm not going to penalize anyone, i can only penalize lazy players, who will the loot imediately.
      This idea is solving only the big queue with very long time. I next stage, players can use this of course as strategy to save theirs resources from looting. But still you can loot everything when the defender is afk or sleeping ;) and don't forget that you can't save all you resources as you must have some excatly amounts of each to create some defense building or ships (becuase only rocketlauncher are form the metall only, others are from metall/crystall and deuterium).

      marshen: you talking about root ? :) The root is how the game is working. And this game is working with limits to be pray or to be hunter. Game should be well-balanced with nonlimiting rules system - what can i do how / can i defend / how can i atack. Or you can play WoW/ LotR where only the author force you how you will end like. This is some crazy authors will how the world should work, but not from simple rule - there always have to be a choice. I'm talking about that, so this game can be balanced on more realism. If i can do something for it, i will do it. If not, you can play this game as long as you want with no changes. And now take a look into game how it is good ;)

      i dont want blindfolded changes. you want to get a new method to save resources to make raiding against casual players less rewarding.
      and that is definetly not what the game needs!

      and i can only say it again: stop playing like a fool and save your resources than you dont need to blindly save your resources in the yard.

      or build defense that you wont be attacked for your daily production

      there are so many options to hide the resources from the enemy. you dont need the option to remove the win of an attack (and again if you are being attacked you have failed on the many options you have to avoid being attacked).



      btw the "root" problem would be to explain users how the game works. what saving is. how to protect your planets, daily production, fleet etc.
      if you know how it works you don't need to save your resources in shipyard 2 and even if you dont know... you will lose a few resources... who cares?


      so i think we should focus on more important tasks (e.g. wiki or other ideas).

      ps: btw after FAILING (aka not saving) you have still the choice to not build something stupid and lose only 50%, 75%... thats up to you.



      let me explain what i mean with root vs leafs.
      if a tree has 100 red leafs you can paint each of the 100 red leafs green. but you can also find out who threw red color in the river. what is easier?
      (this is a constructed example... think for yourself if you want a real example :P)

      Still, GF supports only illogical ways and ways of fleeters. It was my bad move to put that big number of RL to queue. But it is holy stupidity from GF, that they did the system as it is now.
      And more, it is pure arrogance to let it be as it is. That's all from me. GF :thumbup: keep that way to abyss.
