    • I like this Idea, it would make the game a little bit faster.
      But as said above, we would need more galaxies or more systems, but i would tend to more galaxies.
      Why not open a 50 gala, one astro one colony universe?
      If it would be a .org uni, it would be filled very fast, and very interesting :)

      IMHO, slots need at least the number of planets + 2. One slot for the transfer of resources to build on some planet or moon, and another as a backup in case of attack. Even better if slots is twice the number of planets. ^^ Just need the slots for expeditions in astrophysics at level 20 is still 4 slots higher. :crazy:

      edit : In fact there is no way to do that with changing the cost like that.
      example with 2^n and 4^n
      4 is the double of 2 but the difference between price grow very fast :

      lvl 1 : 2 / 4
      lvl 2 : 4 / 16
      lvl 3 : 8 / 64
      lvl 4 : 16 / 256
      ...

    • Yep probably 1.37 is not good, 1.5 yes, I don't know.

      But the idea is to have access to more planets, so reduce the costs of astro should make the trip.

      And it's really easier to have an uni option "astro coeff" than having different way to compare the astro level to the number of planets. The coeff is only use two times (to calculate the cost of the next level and the points you have with your current one). The formula for astro is used a lot of times, in a lot of places;

      And last but not least, I'm pretty sure than the 1.75 coeff is yet a variable from a table of settings !
    • I like this Idea for a "Different" type of Universe.

      The first argument that miners will be favored = I disagree, a pure raider will have high level mines close enough to compete with pure miners. This is because fleets bring back more resources then mines in large numbers.

      Another argument, that Planets are soppose to be hard to unlock//not enough space to colonize.
      I agree, but in a x1 speed universe. g6-7-8-9 should still be available to colonize.
      I highly doubt 53892 planets will be colonized.

      Also maybe adding galaxy 10 11 and 12 could make this problem less significant.

      Possibly, but if you research astro 13-14-15 and up. The deut cost for computer is less then astro.
      People normally stop computer tech because they don't need more slots.



      How I see this working out.
      I think top players who manage their accounts well. Will seperate at the top rapidly.
      Having many "Moons" for a raideur is already very good, adding extra moons and easily accessible 2 roaming colonies.
      Should make for a good raiding universe aswell as mining.

      Too be honest, all I see from this is the ability to own twice the amounts of planets.
      This should be considered because I think alot of players will want to at least experiment with this,
      And not to mention this make managing a new account way more fun then a regular universe.

      This reminds me of the good ol days of 9 colonies off the start... Man back then It was hard placing a colony where you wanted.
    • I dont think this idea should be implemented in a speed universe
      I think 1 times would be best, and also with defense to df

      The reason being is in normal speed universes players tend to get bored quicker because they soon become inactive due to players not being able to reach their goals because others destroy them before they get chance and it also takes time to get 9 planets
      If this happened in speed players who get the head start would be uncatchable if they mine like hell and if it happened in normal most players would turtle all their mine planets meaning it would make no difference
      If you implemented normal speed players still have to work hard, but with defense into dfs every1 is a target
      meaning even noobs can feed when big boys sleep
      also a planet cap at 14-16 would be useful if implemented in speed universes and maybe think about have more than 9 galaxies :)

      keep it all to 30% into df because thats as balanced as u can get
      and if you put defense to df in this 1 players will buy lots of dark matter to protect there mines and so forth :)
