Considering that the bug has not been solved in the past 10 days, I smell this is the final shutdown.

Problem is, that this universe is on low support. So they need to find a dev who has a free slot (this probably took up most of the time). So waiting again

According to a GA in the german board, they assume that they can reopen the server next week.

At some point we need to start thinking about accounts being deleted due to inactivity, if these pause periods are counting towards that. Not everyone logged on, on the 24hrs or so that the game was live again.

also this is very very sad. i have an account over there. in fact by now one of the oldest ones.
but still: upon creation of this universe it was said "go to the origin international board" hence me creating an account here.
and yet: news about this universe get posted either in this forum in the general part or in the german forum.... really?

not criticizing the fact. i am mourning the fact that we have to look everywhere for infos instead of you guys having a consolidated post about whats going on, what you expect and how we can help (or how many times we can jerk off until issues are resolved to kick in some humor).

here, indeed, the information about closure is first hand. but in the german forum we get the info about expected timeframe and what backup it is going to be. those are crucial informations helping

• you guys: we wont bother you for at least a week and/or tell others who do "wait a week/they said at least a week" as you already have experienced with jango and
  
• us: planning ahead on what to do, since as you can see in this very thread people assumed it would be a backup from after us being able to disable vacation mode, this is a huge difference.
  

gating those 2 informations behind one of the hardest languages to casually learn shows that there is no organisation behind the structure of ogame's staff. now giving the argument that we have international players and that we can gather this information by ourselves like jango did would only show worse things i am afraid.

tl;dr: giving consolidated information about your product is your job, whilst playing and calling bs (bugs, cheating etc) is ours.
