New redesign
PostOr introduce an option for reduced graphics. Though i guess they are stored in the browser after the first download. Theres still people out there having 200mb a month of mobile internet traffic capacity, if that is the correct term.

As you might have noticed, I didn't have/spent much time on this since Octobre. Given the Feedback (or lack thereof) this project might continue for some time off-the-record until noteworthy efforts have been put into it. My master thesis is taking up more of my "free" time than expected.

Trying to hide a planet is not really trying to compete. You still colonize inside the same universe which shows all planets for everyone in the galaxy view. Hiding would be if new planets would only be shown after sending a probe into each starsystem. There is still the possibility of creating a colony (or relocating) every week, so attackers "have to" search more often.

Universeview could be the tool he used. Its an allowed script. The information is taken out of the game and is available to all universeview users. And there is no hidden system or galaxy. One can just go through all systems in the galaxie view and find your new positions. Universeview just makes this easier. And the german rules state in the last sentence of hacking/bugusing that exceptions of this rule are stated on the board.

Dark Matter Mine
PostIs this suggestion serious? 60 days is nothing and then its nearly 2 million a year. Who would need more than that? Few euros one-time investment and than never again.

Cut "will be able" and replace it with "run out of more important things to fix". From where does the need for promotion of other chat software arise? We choose our favourite one and thats it. I only use the ingame chat to write with strangers or non-ally players. And it does that job without any issues. Mind you I deactivated the chat bar, which I dont need anyway. Promoting discord will give a bad rep once data trading is discussed openly. And why would players put trust in foreign companies i…

There are currently an estimated amount of 175 suggestion threads. With 65 different ideas in total. Not wanting to sound like the idea is bad, but: The devs, similar to us mortal board users, might only post a reply if they have something to contribute to the idea, be it positive or negative. With many suggestions in the pipeline they might also want us board members to refine the ideas until they can judge at one glance whether it might be good to implement.

What is the improvement of having players of similar rank (i guess point levels?) near you? I like the diversity through all galaxies. And not being able to settle in all galaxies with 1+ planets is restrictive. For farming AND trading purposes. Imagine a newbie in your alliance in g4 to need a moon. While the rest of the alliance is in G9&10

An admiral (the guy that acts like 2-3 levels of computertech) after building the first small cargos might be nice. In an old universe the inactives can make up for 10-20 times ones own production and the available fleet slots are the limiting factor of growth. One week could be nice and one month (=9,000 DM) would not be over the top either. Or make the newbie choose between admiral and geologist for those who don't like to farm inactives. Well, 35,000 DM would also give this choice and might b…

Didn't find much time for clean up, sorry. Updated the files, to include: - fixed rounding issues of displayed daily production - added currency conversion on tab "Mines" (style: "3.0 2.0 1.0" means 1 deuterium equals 2 crystal or 3 metal) - a beginning of including "time until step is finished" in the amortisation list - created GitHub project "Account-and-Amortisation" by user "LilithOG". should be publicly viewable. is updated simultaneously with dropbox, and does not contain the jar executab…

Deuterium sensor
PostIf you post all of your ideas at once, the attention on each one of them decreases. I think it's five ideas this week already, isn't it?

Honor points
PostWell, you do gain honor points from defense that is dedtroyed and not rebuild. A few attacks with deathstars on turtles can easily get you a few hundred thousand. I only think of positive hobor points as a buffer to use up with non honorable attacks until your back to 0. There's already the 75% loot you got each time you build up your positive hp.

Balance for ship
PostYou really shouldn't simulate with so few ships and so few (2) ship types. Resource conversion 3:2:1: Otherwise you should state that the battleships are way to strong. 1 battleship easily kills 2 cruisers. The reason it doesn't kill 15 light fighters is because it can only kill one fighter per round. If you turn the situation around so the battleships are the ones strong in number, they do fairly well: 15 battleships vs 7 destroyers: 600k loss on attackers side, 875k loss on defenders side. Res…

Yeah, graviton is just a matter of gathering items from import/export. The increase is also not over the top for normal use cases (2000 instead of 2600 sats per planet for example in my case). But it would significantly reduce the costs of high terraformer levels. If the increase would be rounded up it could make solar sats a better helper on planets on pos 15. Like jumping from 1 energy per sat to 2. Might save consumption of the fusion reactor, but still not over the top. Nice suggestion.

You suggest to make a fight honorable (+ honor points) if the target has at least 30% of your military points instead of the 50%, which are currently considered for an honorable fight? You should have 100 honorable targets (top 100) plus 249 honorable targets (all bandits except yourself) right now. So at least 149 targets in the worst case (100 players overlapping, i.e. all of top 100 are bandits). Hint: Last resort to get rid of negative honor points and the 100% loss when being attacked: Plan…

Gonna clean up the code a bit this night or tomorrow. Too much production and costs code in the amortisation class..sorry if that makes it less well checkable, shole. Will cut it down to a helper class that takes an account object and can return production, daily production, and costs for building mines from {m, c, d} to {m+x, c+y, d+z}. Thinking about different optimizations as well to make the calculation of amortisation more readable.
